Congratulations

A bit of good news for a change! Sister Joan Campbell, a Past Worthy District Grand Matron of North of England District Grand Chapter, and PWM and PWP of Blyth Chapter No 387, celebrates her Diamond Wedding Anniversary with her husband Jim on August 4th. Although not a member in the Order, Jim is a "Well kent face" as he supports Joan on all social events. I am sure that you will all join with me in wishing Joan and Jim best wishes on this special anniversary.

Bereavement

It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you of the passing of Sister Eleanor Wright, Past Most Worthy Grand Matron 1986 - 1988, she sadly passed away on the 11th July, the funeral was private for family only. Sister Wright will be sadly missed by all that knew her. The Supreme Grand Chapter of Scotland sends sincere condolences to Sister Wright's family at this very sad time.

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you of the passing of Sister Jessie Kennell, a Past Worthy District Grand Matron of Ayrshire District Grand Chapter and a Past Worthy Matron of Barr Castle Chapter No 97.

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Sister Rita Baisley, a Past Worthy District Grand Matron of Stirling, West Lothian and Clackmannan District Grand Chapter and Past Worthy Matron of Daiglen Chapter No 447. The Supreme Grand Chapter of Scotland extends sympathy to Sister Baisley's family at this very sad time.

Sister Baisley's funeral will be held on Tuesday 9th August 2022 at 11:30 at Falkirk Crematorium.

Bereavement

It is with extreme sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Sister Jean McDonald, a Past Worthy District Grand Matron of Lanarkshire District Grand Chapter and the Worthy Matron of Marguerite Chapter No 9. Sister McDonald loved the Order and would help anyone when asked, she will be missed by all that knew her. Sincere sympathy of the Supreme Grand Chapter of Scotland goes out to Sister McDonald's family at this sad time.

Sister McDonald's funeral will be held on Tuesday 12th July at 12.45pm in New St Andrews Church, Church Street, Coatbridge ML5 3EB thereafter to Dalbowie Crematorium at 2pm. Tea etc will be in Gartsherrie Club Coatbridge, to which all friends are invited to join the family in remembering Jean.

Appointment of Worthy Grand Secretary

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sister Hazel Dunsmore, Past Worthy Matron of St Machute Chapter No. 135 as Worthy Grand Secretary. Sister Dunsmore will be working from the office on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am till 2pm. She will be on holiday from 25th July till 5th August 2022. The office details can be found on the Contact Us page on the website. I am sure that you will join me in wishing Sister Dunsmore well in her new appointment.
